Description
Biogrow Bioneem 1500ppm - 250ml is an organic biopesticide derived from the seed kernels of the neem tree.
Its active ingredient is azadirachtin, at a minimum concentration of 1500 ppm (which is equivalent to about 1.5 g per litre by mass)
What pests / crops it is used on
Pests: aphids, spider mites, fruit flies, bollworm, snout beetle, codling moth, leafminers, leafhopper, mealybugs, etc.
Crops & plants: wide variety including vegetables, fruit trees (citrus, pommes, stone fruit, etc.), ornamentals, herbs, etc. Compatible with indoor and outdoor plants.
Application / Dosage / Directions
Under high insect infestation, apply every 7 days; when infestation is lower or for preventative purposes, every 14 days.
Dilution: typically 10 ml per 1 litre of water for spray.
Spray as a full cover spray, making sure to wet both upper and underside of leaves.
Best application times are early morning or late afternoon (coolest parts of the day). Avoid spraying when temperatures are above ~30°C.
It can be applied up to the day of harvest.
Safety, Compatibility & Precautions
It is considered relatively safe for beneficial insects (bees, pollinators) and for pets, when used correctly.
However, it can be harmful if swallowed; contact with eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided. Wash hands after handling.
Store in original container, in a cool, dry place, away from food, animal feed, children and untrained persons.
Compatibility: works with many common fungicides, insecticides and fertilisers, but you should do a small test (both for physical compatibility and checking for phytotoxicity) before mixing. Do not mix with strong oxidising agents, nor with strong acids or bases which destabilise the product.
