Description
This is our most popular substrate for cultivating cannabis. This blend of coir and perlite is designed to provide a well-aerated medium that has optimal moisture holding capacity with good drainage allowing you to manage effective dry backs with optimized nutrient delivery. The well aerated medium promotes healthy root development and excellent plant growth and flower yield.
Features
• EC <0.1mS/cm
• pH 6-7
• Optimal blend of coir and perlite. Coir = 70% and perlite = 30%.
• Quality ingredients = Coir is sourced from India but buffered in The Netherlands. The perlite is manufactured in-house by our partners.
• Uniform product. The blend is mixed with precision, for known and repeated results.
• Buffered coir. Harmful salts have been removed and it is ready to use. Coir that hasn’t been buffered correctly will “rob” Ca and Mg from your nutrients and leave your plants defficient.
• Inert. Its low ec, means that it is devoid of nutrition. This inert base give you the “steering wheel” and you are in control with the nutrients you want to deliver.
• High Aeration. More oxygen is available for the roots to encourage faster growth.
• Drainage. The substrate drains easily, leaving open air spaces for your root to breath.
• Sustainable. Coir is an extremely sustainable product that is readily available and its production has a very low impact on the environment.
• Medicoir is buffered and ready for use in any garden.
• For medical facilities, it is accredited with all the documentation that you require for your audit requirements.
Application
• We recommend Medicoir as a stand-alone hydroponic substrate or as a base ingredient if you want to make a custom blends by adding amendments and additives.
• When filling your pots, shake the pot lightly to settle the substrate. Do not push the substrate down with your hands as this will compact the particles and reduce the airiness that you are after.
• At the start of your cultivation, we suggest that you water your substrate in the pots with your irrigation water to charge the substrate with the nutrition that you typically feed.
